Firstly, we would like to express our appreciation for providing to international students such wonderful opportunitty of learning and living in a different country. We are Marcia and Horácio, parents of Melissa, who is applying for the 11th grade of Secondary School. Kindly, let us introduce ourselves to your family. Melissa is a 15 year old girl, she is nice, sweet and quite determined. Since she was a little girl she dream about living and studying abroad, and now that we are about to realize this dream for her, we are very happy. She was educated in a school that have as mission educate children to respect diversity and to form international citizens, because we believe these are very important values in these days of globalization. Melissa is studious and hardworking, she intends going to a federal university here in Brazil, which is not easy and is just for the best students. She has been studying hardly and we think that studying in Ottawa will gave to her more experience and knoledge to achieve this plan. Her hobbies are writing and reading, she has done quite good texts, you will have the opportunity to experiencing. Another point is that she has ben studying english since she was 8, now she is about to be graduated in the english school, and will apply for the proficiency exams soon. Once again, we would like to mention our appreciation for your hospitability in opening your home to receive our daughter and really hope you can also have a pleasant experience during this period.
